This is a request/suggestion thread right...

So here first my request...
Please finished NMB48 Geinin!! 2 subs series, that's all. Like I said in the other thread, I will do what can I do to help you guys to do so

And this is my suggestion...
When ProjectSUB48 have an event some kinda like "AIDOL's Staff Battle", I think that it would be so cool!
Oh yeah, and I guess some of you have suggest this before, but I'm here just to reminded, how about we priority to translated and released those subs that other fansub team hasn't been translated yet. For example like "Docking48", they have been quiet some video available, but none a single fansub team has translated them. I think ProjectSUB48 have a chance to take that, and like I said translated those shows that hasn't been worked by any fansub team is better than do the translate for all the same shows that other's fansub team has been working on. That's all I'm saying, thanks.


Sorry if those my request and suggestion were irritated you guys, I really don't have an intention for that and didn't mean to.

That staff battle sounds pretty stupid. For me, and correct me if I'm wrong, it sounds like they try to force what to translate onto their translators. As I understand it, the "losers" would have to translate what the winner wants? If that is the case then this whole thing is nothing but a surefire way to demotivate translators. I can't talk for others so I'll just say my take: I've been translating stuff for about 8 years now (sick brag, I know) and I've burned my motivation out several times (and then rediscovered it once more only to lose it again). Since we don't get anything out of fansubbing it gets harder and harder to justify the days, weeks sometimes even months needed to invest into a bigger release. Having to translate something that you don't care about carries the risk of pushing you closer to the proverbial edge that represents burning out. After all we are only doing this for fun. Being forced to do something is not fun.

I'm not sure what the other staffmembers' take on this is, but I don't think we'll ever have something like that.

If you look at past files, Half have helped Kudo and lotsheep with a bunch of SKE and NMB videos and lotsheep and Kudo has done the same thing for HKT videos. It was just that they had their favorite group and we thought it was a fun idea to battle it out while taking the time to promote our favorite group for a week.
Trust me, Half is just as motivated to help Kudo translate Sekai Seifuku if SKE wins or help lotsheep translate Docking48 if NMB wins just as much as Kudo and lotsheep is motivated to sub Odekake if HKT wins.

Good for you if they still feel this way.

But are they as motivated to help translate the other group's stuff as they would be to translate their favorite group's? This is the question that comes to mind. If the answer is no then this can be a nice way to start the journey towards indifference to subbing which leads to burning out.

Of course they'd "help out" in translating other shows but that is nothing compared to doing a whole show about someone that you are not totally interested in. If the thought "I could be translating my favorite instead" crept even a little bit into their minds then it was already a bad idea motivation-wise.
Just as an example: for someone who is not into SKE it's really hard to imagine sekai seifuku joshi being worthwhile to translate especially over something like HKT's Tonkotsu Mahou Shoujogakuin (from an hkt fan's point of view).

That is good to hear. I think somehow that boost your translators teamwork with each other. Pleased to see such of teamwork like that, helping each other, as a fellow fan, to make this fandom a better place. Honestly, I want NMB who won, I wanted it so bad. But then I've been thinking, I don't mind if HKT or SKE who wins. That's all

Let's see if Ready2 or Wingom want to do it. However, contrary to the Test (and like with AKBINGO! Muchaburi episodes) you don't really need Japanese to enjoy it, so might not be worth the effort. Also, end of year means exams and lot of work.

^ That's true. Personally though I enjoyed it anyway, I did miss out on understanding at least half of what Yuko was saying as well as some of the interaction between Mayuyu and Kato.
